On November 17th, AllHealth Network held a celebration at the AMG Dome for former CEO Joan DiMaria, who retired after 27 years of extraordinary service. It was a memorable event with her friends and family traveling to be there through the first snow storm of the year. Over 125 guests attended with remarks offered by Chairman of the AllHealth Network Board, John Phillips as well by Dr. Barb Becker. A video was shown honoring Joan and her work featuring colleagues, friends and family honoring Joan’s accomplishments and achievements. John Phillips, joined by AllHealth Network board member, Shawn Turner and Barb Becker presented Joan with a gift from all at AllHealth Network and the Board of Directors.

Joan’s remarkable dedication to behavioral health spanned over 40 years. Her contributions were significant at AllHealth Network, as well as the professional guidance and input she provided in the community. Joan served on multiple boards including Behavioral Health Inc. (BHI), Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council, Signal, Community Crisis Connections, CHADA, and many others over the years. She was instrumental in forging ahead relationships in the forensic community creating the first Mental Health Court in Arapahoe County.

As a trained psychiatric nurse and administrator, Joan’s work is well recognized in the behavioral healthcare locally and nationally.

We miss Joan’s warmth, sense of humor and distinct style and her inspirational leadership continues to inspire many at AllHealth Network and in the field.

Bike to Work Collage

Here’s a round of applause to the 19 AllHealth Network employees from six separate locations who participated in this year’s Bike to Work Day, supporting a clean and healthy way to commute to work!

Many thanks to our Wellness Committee volunteers, Thad Roman, Jeannie Walter and Christina Willard, along with David Livingston, who worked together to publicize the event, organize registration, order team t-shirts, arrange for/ provide breakfast and coordinate all the communication to riders and the rest of the staff throughout the network! Shout-Outs to Kiersten Simonds and the support staff at Sycamore, Center Point, the Wellness Center, Facilities and ACC for distributing t-shirts to the riders.

All in all, it was a great day to bike to work, and come together as a team to enjoy some Colorado sunshine and fresh air!

On October 18th AllHealth Network, along with co-chairs Louise Richardson from Den Mark Communications and Lee Bowen from Fifth Third Bank, brought over 60 leaders in the community together to send a message about behavioral health and encourage people who need treatment to seek it, through a CEO/Leadership Pledge. The Like Minds…Leaders Take Action event was held at the offices of Sewald Hanfling and bieMEDIA in Denver.

The pledge is a commitment for leaders to help their employees access the resources and education they need to be well and AllHealth Network will help them achieve this at no cost to their organization. AllHealth Network hopes to drive this conversation and have 50 signees by Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
