AllHealth Network receives $1,000 prize from the Douglas County Library Foundation as a part of their Summer Reading community goal
AllHealth Network is honored to be awarded $1,000 from the Douglas County Library Foundation through the annual Summer Reading community goal.
The goal for summer 2022 was 8.5 million minutes. Participants surpassed this goal for a total of 8.6 million minutes spent reading.
“Our summer reading committee goes through a process each year to choose a nonprofit recipient, and AllHealth Network was this year’s choice,’ said Melissa Anciaux, staff writer and editor for Douglas County Library Foundation.
“We try to either tie the nonprofit to our summer reading theme or go with an organization that meets a critical need in our community,” said Anciaux. “Given the emphasis on mental health and well-being of late, we thought AllHealth Network was a perfect choice.”
According to AllHealth Network Clinical Officer, Jen Bock, the money will go toward therapists working on evidence-based training and consultation for youth and families.
“In addition to sending therapists through training we will utilize the money to expand consultation offerings to include more therapists as we currently have a waiting list for this consultation time,” said Bock.
Past prize money recipients include Douglas Land Conservancy, COVID-19 Recovery Fund, among others.
