Keep the Calm at Home Parent Support Group is a free interactive Zoom discussion group designed for parents. We know life and parenting can be a busy and challenging time under any circumstance. Please join us and let’s support each other.  Parents with kids of any age are welcome!

Week by Week topics: 

  • Week 1 – 9/20 – Self-Compassion: Being Your Own Best Friend
    In this group we will learn about the three elements of self-compassion; self-kindness vs. self-judgment, common humanity vs. isolation, mindfulness vs. over identification.
  • Week 2 – 9/27 – Stress Management: Make the Day More Enjoyable
    In this group we will talk about what stress really is and the effects it has on our physical and emotional well-being. We will discuss stress management techniques that can help when coping with difficult situations in our daily lives.
  • Week 3 – 10/4 – Embracing Uncertainty: Get Comfortable with It
    In this group we will talk about how we can ease the feelings of uncertainty that arise and coping strategies that can help address our concerns about re-entry.
  • Week 4 – 10/11 – Positive Parenting: Living in the Moment
    We will cover how to create positive connections, focus on desired behaviors with your children and how we can empower them to become resilient and capable.
  • Week 5 – 10/18 – Social Support Systems: Tap into Their Strength
    Having support systems is important when it comes to difficult times. In this group we will discuss what support systems are and how we can set them in place.
  • Week 6 – 10/25 – Self-Care: Being Your Own Best Friend
    In this group we will talk about self-care beyond the bubble baths. We will cover the ways in which we can establish healthy and sustainable self-care habits in our daily lives.
