Meet Amy Breaux, MSW: Building Connections and Expanding Access to Care

With nearly 20 years of experience in social work, Amy Breaux, MSW, brings a wealth of clinical and operational knowledge to her role on AllHealth Network’s Business Development Team.

Amy’s passion for helping others began while working at a runaway teen shelter in Boulder, Colorado. Inspired to make a greater impact in the lives of vulnerable youth, she pursued her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver, graduating in 2009 with a focus on clinically high-risk youth.

Throughout her career, Amy has worked in adolescent residential treatment, clinical services, and operations. She also served on the multidisciplinary team at the Denver County Jail, providing clinical support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Over the past eight years, she has shifted her focus toward broader, systems-level work, using her experience to strengthen partnerships and improve access to care.

At AllHealth Network, Amy works closely with the Community Engagement Team to build relationships and increase awareness of the network’s comprehensive behavioral health services. One of her current priorities is supporting AllHealth Network’s Acute Care Campus, where she collaborates with the team to strengthen referral partnerships, increase awareness of expanded admission capabilities, and help connect individuals experiencing behavioral health crises with appropriate care and ongoing support.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her three children, including her 6-year-old fraternal twins and 9-year-old daughter, along with the family’s two dogs. She loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, and attending live music events. Originally from West Texas, Amy has spent much of her life in Colorado and proudly calls it home.

Acute Care Campus: Expanding Access to Care

As part of Amy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen referral partnerships, a key focus is helping community providers better understand the expanded capabilities of AllHealth Network’s Acute Care Campus.

To help reduce the strain on local emergency departments and expand access to timely behavioral health care, AllHealth Network’s Acute Care Campus has broadened its admission criteria to serve individuals with more complex acute care needs.

The expanded criteria include individuals experiencing acute psychosis, those who may require short-term restraints or emergency medications, and patients with additional medical needs, including more extensive wound care and oxygen support.

Through these expanded capabilities and continued collaboration with referral partners, Amy and the Acute Care Campus Team are working to improve access to appropriate levels of care, strengthen continuity of services, and ensure more individuals experiencing behavioral health crises receive the support they need.
