Celebrating Excellence in Care: Heather Thompson Wins This Year’s Clinician Award

We are thrilled to announce that Heather Thompson has been honored with this year’s Clinician Award from the Colorado Providers Association (COPA)! Heather’s dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care has made a lasting impact on the behavioral health field. Her colleagues describe her as deeply committed to helping others, always going above and beyond to ensure that every client receives the care and support they deserve.

Heather was nominated by a co-worker and selected for her unwavering commitment to making AllHealth Network a stronger, more connected organization. At this year’s Provider Reception, COPA was proud to celebrate her incredible contributions alongside peers and partners who share her passion for advancing behavioral health care in our community.

Heather’s journey to this recognition is one of perseverance, growth, and purpose. “I graduated from my master’s program during the height of the pandemic, so I took a year to work from home in the private practice sector,” Heather shared. “When the opportunity arose to join AllHealth Network, I was thrilled to join a community-based team. That experience inspired me to pursue additional learning as an addictions counselor to better support folks in their recovery from substance misuse.”

Over the course of her time with AllHealth, Heather has deepened her belief in the power of collaboration and whole-person care. “I also learned the high value of collaboration with other organizations and community supports for whole-person care. This mindset stuck with me when I transferred to the Recovery Co-op team, where I am today. So many of our clients need not just care from us as therapists but also connections to the amazing and creative resources in our local area. I now also collaborate with Veteran Service Offices in two counties to support our veterans in accessing mental health care. I am thrilled to continue this line of work and grateful for AllHealth for guiding, supporting, and advancing my career.”

Heather’s colleagues see her impact every day. “Heather delivers the highest quality care to our veterans, and their consistent engagement is a testament to the trust and connection she fosters,” said Meli Reumann, Heather’s Clinical Director. “Her lived experience serving our county gives her a unique ability to relate to and support these clients with authenticity and empathy. Heather brings her whole self to her role at AllHealth, embodying dedication, compassion, and professionalism in every aspect of her work.”

Reflecting on this honor, Heather shared, “I am honored to receive this award because it shows that leaders both internal and external to my organization recognize the efforts that I’ve taken over time and support the work that I’ve been doing. I’m extremely fortunate to work with a team that encourages growth and champions care for our clients as well as our colleagues. This recognition is a great encouragement to continue serving our clients to the best of my ability.”

From all of us at AllHealth Network, and on behalf of COPA and the broader behavioral health community—congratulations, Heather! Your compassion, collaboration, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire us all.
